    Halotherapy is suitable for many conditions, but not for everyone. Below you will find an overview. Halotherapy is a 100% medication-free treatment.

    Indications

    Halotherapy can provide supportive relief for, among other things:

    • Asthma
    • COPD (GOLD I, II, III, IV)
    • Chronic bronchitis and emphysema
    • Bronchiectasis
    • Long-COVID
    • Pneumonia (pneumonia) after the acute stage
    • Cystic fibrosis
    • Shortness of breath and difficulty breathing (dyspnea)
    • Wheezing respiration
    • Dry, spastic cough and dry rales (rhonchi, usually low-pitched, with varying localization upon auscultation)
    • Cough with sputum (productive cough)
    • Coughing, especially at night or after exertion
    • Smoker's cough
    • Mucus plugs

    Contraindications

    Halotherapy is not recommended for patients suffering from any of the following conditions:

    • Acute phase of respiratory diseases (with fever)
    • Open tuberculosis
    • All internal diseases in decompensation, especially heart and kidney failure
    • Cardiac insufficiency and severe heart failure
    • Hypertension in phase IIB
    • Bleeding and blood disorders
    • Coughing up blood (hemoptysis)
    • Intoxication
    • Active cancer (without consulting your doctor)
    • Severe mental disorders
